Authorities Reveal Names Of Missing Persons In Sicily Yacht Incident (Full List)

British tech mogul, Mike Lynch is among six people missing after a luxury super yacht sank during a sudden storm off the coast of Sicily early Monday.

According to Italy’s civil protection agency and local authorities, the 56-meter yacht, named Bayesian, was carrying 22 passengers, including individuals from the UK, the US, and Canada.

Fifteen people, including a one-year-old British girl and Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, were rescued.

Tragically, the body of the yacht’s cook was recovered from the wreckage.

The disaster occurred around 5:00 am local time when a violent storm struck, generating waterspouts that overwhelmed the vessel.

The yacht sank near the port of Porticello, just east of Palermo, the capital of Sicily.

Witnesses reported that the yacht had anchored when the storm hit, causing the mast to break and the vessel to capsize.

One survivor, Charlotte Golunski, recounted how she momentarily lost grip of her one-year-old daughter, Sofia, in the water but managed to hold her above the waves until they were rescued.

Sofia’s father, James Emslie, also survived, according to reports from the Italian news agency ANSA.

Rescue efforts continue, with divers preparing to search the wreckage, which lies at a depth of 50 meters.
