Delta Governor’s Aide Condemns Mockery Of Pastor Jerry Over Prayer For Alex Ekubo

According to reports, the video resurfaced shortly after Ekubo’s death and sparked intense reactions on social media, with some users questioning Pastor Jerry’s ministry and ridiculing him for praying for the actor, who eventually died after a prolonged battle with metastatic kidney cancer.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Ossai expressed disappointment over the mockery, stressing that divine healing remains a core aspect of Christian faith and that prayer does not guarantee immunity from death.

He stated that God continues to perform miracles and urged those mocking the pastor to reconsider their actions, warning that such behavior could have damaging consequences. Ossai added that while Ekubo received prayers, his eventual death does not negate the power of God, emphasizing that only God knows what is best in every situation.

Meanwhile, relationship commentator Blessing CEO, also known as Blessing Okoro, has responded to social media users who suggested that she should have died instead of Alex Ekubo.

The controversial media personality, in a video posted on her social media platforms, condemned the comments and criticized what she described as a disturbing pattern of showing sympathy only after someone has passed away.

She questioned why many people appear more eager to attack and insult those who are alive, while reserving compassion exclusively for the deceased.

Alex Ekubo died on May 11, 2026, after battling complications arising from advanced metastatic kidney cancer. His passing has continued to generate widespread reactions from colleagues, fans, and public figures across Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
