Zamfara State is set to witness a significant boost in its transportation network as Governor Dauda Lawal officially flagged off the construction of an 11.65-kilometer road. The new road will connect the towns of Rawayya, Furfuri, and Kurya Madaro in Bungudu and Kaura Namoda local government areas, marking a major step in the state’s infrastructure development.

The project, valued at N6.6 billion, has been awarded to Bauhaus Global Investment Nigeria Limited. Governor Lawal announced that the road is expected to be completed within the next 12 months.

During the flag-off ceremony, Governor Lawal underscored the pivotal role of robust infrastructure in driving the state’s economic and social development. He pointed out that inadequate road networks have hindered economic growth, particularly impacting agriculture and local businesses while affecting the quality of life in rural areas.

Governor Lawal reiterated his administration’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure as part of a broader development agenda aimed at fostering a conducive environment for businesses and addressing the state’s security challenges. He reassured the people of Zamfara of his dedication to advancing the state’s progress and fulfilling his leadership responsibilities.
