Tinubu Summons Cabinet To Honour Buhari In Rare FEC Session Of National Reflection!

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday evening, led a solemn Special Session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to honour the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The tribute session took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, drawing top cabinet members and officials into a moment of national reflection.

According to iReporter Online, the event was officially announced by Dada Olusegun, the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, who confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that Tinubu would be presiding over the extraordinary meeting in Buhari’s memory.

While addressing the gathering, Tinubu delivered a deeply emotional tribute to the late statesman, describing him as a towering symbol of integrity and quiet patriotism. “We gather under the heavy shadow of his absence,” Tinubu said, “to honour a man who once commanded this very chamber with dignity and moral clarity.”

He described Buhari as a soldier of unflinching discipline, a public servant unswayed by applause, and a leader whose austere approach to governance embodied incorruptibility. Tinubu noted that despite wielding power, Buhari remained humble and steadfast, embodying justice without cruelty and conviction without arrogance.

According to iReporter Online, the President reminisced about their political alliance, which, alongside a coalition from diverse regions and ideologies, delivered Nigeria’s first peaceful transfer of power between political parties.
