Collaborative security operations between Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) and the Special Prosecution Task Force (SPT) of the Federal Government have led to the busting of two illegal refining sites in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State, according to iReporter Online.

The illicit sites were cleverly disguised, one operating under the cover of a logistics company, Emekus Nigeria Ltd, and the other as a large but faceless piggery.

Meanwhile, the piggery, home to hungry and abandoned pigs and piglets, also had a section transformed into a crude oil cooking site, revealing the extent of illegal activity hidden in plain sight.

During the inspection led by CSP Omar Sini, Head of Investigation for the Special Prosecution Team, a suspect believed to be the farm manager fled when the team approached.
