President Tinubu to Visit Japan and Brazil on Two-Nation Trip

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Thursday for a two-nation trip to Japan and Brazil.

According to iReporter Online, Tinubu will stop over in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before proceeding to Japan.

In Japan, the President will attend the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama from August 20 to 22. With the theme “Co-create Innovative Solutions with Africa,” the conference will focus on Africa’s economic transformation, improvement of business environments, and promotion of a resilient and sustainable society through private investment and innovation.

According to iReporter Online, Tinubu is also expected to hold bilateral meetings and engage with chief executives of Japanese companies investing in Nigeria.

Following TICAD9, President Tinubu will proceed to Brasilia, Brazil, for a two-day state visit from August 24 to 25.

According to iReporter Online, the visit, extended at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, will include bilateral talks, a business forum with Brazilian investors, and the signing of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
