Manager Breaks Silence On Simi & Adekunle Gold Split Following Leaked Divorce Papers

According to Ireporter Online, claims that Nigerian singer Simi and her husband, Adekunle Gold, are planning to end their marriage have been dismissed by the singer’s manager.

The story began circulating online after a document allegedly filed by Adekunle Gold at the High Court of Lagos State surfaced on social media. Dated February 28, 2026, the document reportedly cited emotional, financial, and professional disagreements and requested the dissolution of the marriage and joint custody of their daughter.

However, Vincent, Simi’s manager, described the document as fraudulent. He noted that the paper contained numerous errors, including the use of stage names, which are typically not accepted in court filings. He also highlighted that the suit number referenced 2024, conflicting with the claimed 2026 filing date.

“It’s fake and fabricated. Stage names are not tenable in any court of justice worldwide, and the suit number is backdated to 2024 (SUIT NO HCL/FC/2024/0178),” he stated.

Simi and Adekunle Gold, who began their relationship as friends and music collaborators, were married in January 2019 in a private ceremony. They welcomed their daughter, Adejare, also known as Deja, in 2020.
