Drama At Kaduna Court: DSS Stops El-Rufai’s Wife – ‘Who Do You Want Me To Call

According to Ireporter Online, one of the wives of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Asiya Ahmed El-Rufai, was prevented from entering the main gate of the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Tuesday, where her husband was being arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The incident occurred in the morning after ICPC officials escorted El-Rufai into the courtroom. Asiya, dressed in an ash-colored veil, appeared visibly frustrated when she found the main gate locked. She reportedly asked a masked Department of State Services (DSS) officer at the entrance for access, but her request was denied.

Asiya reportedly questioned the officer, saying, “I’m Mrs El-Rufai. Who do you want me to call to allow me in? What is happening here today will pass.” Despite her appeal, she was instructed to use the back entrance, which she eventually did to gain access to the court.

Similarly, El-Rufai’s first wife, Khadija Ahmed El-Rufai, was also denied entry through the main gate. Dressed in a black abaya and scarf, she remained composed as she followed directions to enter the court via the back entrance.
