According to Ireporter Online, veteran actress Toyin Alausa has raised concerns over the increasing incidence of online harassment and character defamation on social media platforms. In a recent Instagram post, Alausa criticised what she described as a recurring pattern of public defamation, where individuals’ reputations are deliberately tarnished.

The actress highlighted that many talented individuals have fallen victim to malicious conduct, with strangers propagating falsehoods and damaging narratives simply because “pain sells” and controversy attracts traffic.
