In a recent interview with Yaw on Wazobia FM Lagos, the African Queen crooner stated that the genre’s future remains strong, crediting the country’s abundant young talent for ensuring its longevity.

“Afrobeats can never die,” 2Baba said. “If you listen to some of the young Afrobeats artists now, you will agree with me that the genre is in safe hands. Recently, one of the young artists, Fola, remade my song ‘If Love Is A Crime.’ I really loved it. Soft, smooth vocals. It is amazing. The present crops of artists have special flows. I love their styles.”
