Tems Reveals She Doesn’t Fall In Love Anymore
According to Ireporter Online, Afrobeats sensation Tems has revealed that she no longer believes in love, citing frustrations with modern dating. In a recent conversation with media personality Korty EO, the singer expressed that many men today are motivated primarily by physical desires rather than genuine emotional connection.
Tems stated, “I don’t fall in love anymore because a lot of these men just want to penetrate,” highlighting her disillusionment with superficial relationships.
The singer also reflected on the early challenges of her music career. Speaking with Big Boy TV, she recounted being booed and having plastic bottles thrown at her during a school performance. Despite these setbacks, Tems said her commitment to originality and staying true to her sound helped her persevere in the industry.
She recalled, “I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receive a standing ovation. But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me.” Tems suggested that some of the initial rejections she faced were linked to her choice to focus on original music rather than covers or more familiar styles favored by her peers.
