Azuka Moweta Drops Hot New Track, Shouts Out Zeal Onyia

According to Ireporter Online, the crown prince of Ekobe Music, Azuka Moweta, alongside his Anioma Brothers Band of Africa, has unveiled a new album titled Kenechukwu. This release comes roughly a year after Ekobe Global, an album that earned acclaim among international audiences for its fusion of African sounds, particularly in Europe and the Americas.

Kenechukwu features seven tracks blending the signature Ekobe Asaba sound with traditional highlife rhythms. Notable songs include Kenechukwu, Izunwanne Ka, Odogwu Ahaba, Onye Zusia—a tribute to renowned trumpeter Zeal Onyia—Ndi Di Mma, the instrumental Ogalanya Sound System, and Nyem Nkem.

Beyond honoring Onyia, Moweta pays tribute to prominent figures such as HRM Epiphany Azinge, the Asagba of Asaba, and the late Chief Obi Nwanze Oduah, making the album both a celebration of talent and an expression of gratitude.

Industry insiders describe Kenechukwu as one of the most celebrated albums from Asaba this year, particularly resonating with local social events and diaspora audiences. Executive producers Odogwu Entertainment and Palenque Records reportedly ensured high production standards, delivering a sound praised for its vibrancy and danceability.

Nnamdi Moweta, founder of Odogwu Entertainment, highlighted the album’s innovative inclusion of a brass section, calling it “vintage” and predicting significant social impact. Lucas Da Silva of Palenque Records added that their collaboration with Odogwu Entertainment helps uncover and promote hidden African talents.

Kenechukwu Ibedu, creative director and A&R supervisor at Odogwu Entertainment, described the album as a “masterpiece of production,” underscoring its artistic and cultural significance.
