Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for April after leading Manchester City to a perfect run of results against top opposition. Reports indicate City secured impressive victories over Arsenal, Chelsea and Burnley during the month to strengthen their title ambitions.

City opened the month with a crucial 2-1 victory over Arsenal in a major Premier League showdown before thrashing Chelsea 3-0 and edging Burnley 1-0 to complete an unbeaten and flawless April campaign. The latest recognition marks Guardiola’s 13th Manager of the Month award, moving him to third place on the competition’s all-time list, just two behind legendary former Arsène Wenger and trailing only Alex Ferguson, who holds the record with 27 awards.

The award is Guardiola’s second of the current season after previously winning in February. It also marks the first time in a year that a manager has claimed the honour more than once in the same campaign since Nuno Espírito Santo achieved the feat with Nottingham Forest between 2024 and 2025.

Manchester City could also secure another individual accolade, with Rayan Cherki shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month award.

Meanwhile, Morgan Gibbs-White was named Premier League Player of the Month after playing a crucial role in Nottingham Forest’s fight against relegation. The Forest captain delivered an outstanding series of performances, scoring four goals and registering an assist in three matches.

His most remarkable display came during Forest’s dramatic 4-1 comeback victory over Burnley, where he netted a hat-trick within 15 minutes. He followed it up with another goal and assist in a commanding 5-0 win against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Forest later secured a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa, leaving the club six points above the relegation zone with only three games remaining.

Gibbs-White has now become only the second Nottingham Forest player to receive the Player of the Month honour after Chris Wood.

In another award announcement, Kobbie Mainoo of Manchester United won the Creative Moment of the Month award following his brilliant solo effort in the club’s 2-1 victory over Brentford.
