I Wasn’t Aware” — Man Reveals Why His Friend Ended Relationships

According to Ireporter Online, a Nigerian man has shared the circumstances behind his friend’s decision to walk away from two separate relationships, a revelation that has sparked widespread reactions on social media.

The X user, identified as @Ayoelesho on X (formerly Twitter), disclosed that his friend ended a previous relationship with his girlfriend last year without giving him clear reasons at the time. He noted that although he was unaware of any visible issues that warranted the breakup, his friend assured him that an explanation would be provided later.

Weeks after moving on to a new relationship, the friend reportedly opened up during a phone conversation about a serious financial crisis he was facing. He explained that some of his business partners allegedly conspired against him, leading to the loss of funds and forcing him to borrow money to settle obligations owed to customers, while also dealing with threats of arrest.

He further revealed that during this period of hardship, his then-girlfriend was aware of his situation but still requested financial support for her personal needs, a development that eventually contributed to the end of the relationship about two months later.

In a separate part of the conversation, the man also spoke about his new girlfriend, noting that she had previously been promised a gift. However, due to his financial strain, he informed her to wait until he was in a better position, which differed from earlier expectations. He added that she had been supportive, even covering meal expenses during her visit, describing her as someone unlike anyone he had met before.

He reportedly became emotional during the call, stating that the experience made him believe he had found a life partner.
