According to Ireporter Online, a former commissioner in the administration of ex-Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Jafaru Ibrahim Sani, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Kaduna State under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Sani, who previously served as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and later headed the Ministry of Education during the El-Rufai administration, has reportedly obtained the party’s nomination forms ahead of the race.

Confirming his ambition in a brief WhatsApp response to inquiries, he said, “We are trying to be among the contenders. Allah yayi mana jagora (May Allah guide us).”

His declaration adds fresh momentum to the growing list of aspirants seeking the ADC governorship ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections in Kaduna State.
