Madonna, Shakira & BTS Set To Light Up Historic FIFA World Cup Final Half-Time Show

According to BBC Sport, the performance is scheduled for July 19 in New Jersey, where the tournament’s final match will be played as part of the joint hosting by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The show is expected to last around 11 minutes, though discussions suggest it could be extended to approximately 15 minutes in line with FIFA regulations.

The development marks the first time the FIFA World Cup final will feature a fully structured entertainment half-time show of this scale, introducing a new American-style format to the most-watched fixture in global football.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the initiative as a historic milestone for the competition, stating that it reflects the global significance of the World Cup as the world’s premier sporting event.

The performance will bring together Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, combining Western pop and K-pop appeal for a worldwide television audience. Shakira is also expected to debut a new official tournament track titled “Dai Dai,” featuring Nigerian artist Burna Boy, adding an African musical influence to the event.

Madonna is reportedly preparing the release of her 15th studio album, while BTS continue their global return following the completion of mandatory military service.

The half-time show will be curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and will also support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to improve access to education for children globally.
