According to Ireporter Online, the Super Falconets of Nigeria have been drawn into Group F of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where they will compete against Spain, China PR and New Caledonia following the official draw held in Łódź on May 15.

The 12th edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place from September 5 to 27, 2026, across three Polish cities—Katowice, Sosnowiec and Bielsko-Biała—with 24 national teams set to battle for the prestigious youth world title.

Nigeria secured their place at the competition after overcoming Malawi 3-2 on aggregate in the African qualifying playoffs. The Falconets claimed a crucial 2-0 victory in the first leg in Ikenne, before narrowly falling 2-1 in the return fixture in Lilongwe, a result that was still enough to confirm their qualification.

Placed in a highly competitive group, the Nigerian side will face a stern test. Spain enter the tournament as one of the strongest contenders, backed by a consistent record in women’s youth football. China PR bring tactical discipline and international experience, while New Caledonia will be making their tournament debut, potentially adding an element of unpredictability to the group.
