Born on March 15, 1989 in Bariga, Lagos, Olamide began his recording journey in 2010 with the breakout single “Eni Duro.” His 2011 debut album “Rapsodi” established him as a leading voice in indigenous rap, refusing to conform to industry pressure by delivering raw narratives in Yoruba and Pidgin that reflected everyday street experiences.
