Former Southampton F.C. and Royal Antwerp F.C. forward Victor Udoh has died at the age of 21 in Nigeria.

According to reports monitored by Ireporter Online, the young footballer was found dead in Abuja under circumstances said to be suspicious. Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, while authorities have yet to officially confirm the cause of death.

It was gathered that Udoh recently returned to Nigeria following the completion of his spell with Czech club SK Dynamo České Budějovice, which he joined after leaving Southampton in 2025. The striker had signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the English side but spent only seven months at the club before both parties agreed to terminate the deal, allowing him to seek more regular playing opportunities.

Before his move to England, Udoh featured for Royal Antwerp after joining the Belgian club from Abuja-based Hypebuzz. During his time in Belgium, he progressed through the ranks and impressed with his performances at reserve level, where he scored 12 goals in 21 matches. He later made 28 appearances for the club’s first team and was widely regarded as one of the promising young talents to emerge during his early years in European football.
