Despite APC Reps Primaries Defeat, Chief Priest Vows To Contest Again

He noted that while many critics mocked him on social media and questioned his decision to enter politics, the experience has not discouraged him. Instead, he said it has strengthened his understanding of Nigeria’s political landscape and the level of patience required to succeed.

Chief Priest explained that political success is often a gradual process that requires long-term planning rather than a single attempt, adding that setbacks are part of the journey.

He further referenced President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political trajectory, stating that the president’s years of sacrifice, alliances, and strategic patience serve as a model for understanding how political ambition is built over time.

Drawing lessons from that example, he said he now recognizes the importance of timing, perseverance, and strategic withdrawal when necessary before re-entering the race stronger.

He was quoted as saying that Tinubu’s political journey reflects patience and endurance, noting that he intends to apply similar principles moving forward, insisting that his political ambition remains active despite the setback.

He also added that he is not retreating from public life, emphasizing that he quickly returned to his creative space and continues to stay relevant, signaling that his public and political journey is still ongoing.
