Ice Prince Drops Bombshell: Says He Spent ₦340M On Weed
According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani has opened up about his past struggles with addiction, revealing the financial and personal toll it took on him during a recent appearance on the Black Box podcast.
The award-winning artiste disclosed that he spent approximately ₦340 million on cannabis between 2020 and 2026, stating that the figure came from dealings with just one supplier based in Lagos. He, however, noted that the amount did not include additional spending through other sources in Abuja, Jos, Ghana, and London.
“From 2020 to 2026, I have spent ₦340 million on weed from just one dealer alone, not to even mention my other dealers from Abuja, Ghana, Jos, and London. This is just one dealer, who lives close to me in Lagos,” he said.
Ice Prince further revealed that he has since quit smoking and alcohol as part of a broader lifestyle transformation focused on weight loss, self-discipline, and personal rediscovery. He also disclosed that he has been celibate for a period, describing the changes as part of a total life reset.
In a related development, the rapper dismissed speculation linking his weight loss to drug use, insisting during a separate interview with The Beat FM Lagos that his transformation was natural and not aided by substances such as Ozempic.
He also hinted at a possible retirement from music, stating that his upcoming project may mark his final album. The “Oleku” hitmaker added that he intends to settle down at age 40 but is currently focused on personal and professional goals rather than relationships.
