Onuachu Crowned Süper Lig Goal Of The Season Winner

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has been named the winner of the Trendyol Süper Lig Goal of the Season award for the 2025/26 campaign following his breathtaking bicycle kick for Trabzonspor against Fatih Karagümrük.

The Super Eagles forward earned the prestigious honour for his acrobatic strike in Trabzonspor’s 4-2 victory during the Week Seven fixture played on September 27, 2025. His effort was selected ahead of strong competition from Beşiktaş midfielder Orkun Kökçü and Fenerbahçe forward Marco Asensio.

Onuachu’s moment of brilliance came after he met a precise cross from Wagner Pina, launching himself into the air to execute an overhead kick that left goalkeeper Ivo Grbić helpless.

Announcing the result, the league stated: “You chose, he won. The winner of the most beautiful goal of the 2025/26 Trendyol Süper Lig season has been determined: Paul Onuachu.”

The individual award crowns an impressive season for the 31-year-old, who played a central role in Trabzonspor’s attack throughout the campaign. He finished the season with 22 league goals and two assists, sharing the league’s top scorer title with İstanbul Başakşehir striker Eldor Shomurodov.

Onuachu had appeared poised to secure the Golden Boot outright after a remarkable 10-match scoring streak, but a late-season dip allowed Shomurodov to draw level.

Despite narrowly missing out on the scoring crown, the Nigerian forward enjoyed another productive season, building on his previous loan spell before completing a permanent move to the Turkish club.

Attention has now shifted to his future, with reports suggesting that several Saudi Arabian clubs are monitoring the striker and could table lucrative offers in the upcoming transfer window.
