Why APC Party Executives Must Live Up To Expectations- Amb Johnson Iyamu Speaks On Party Congress
Edo: Top APC chieftain and one of the youth leaders in Edo State, Amb Johnson Enorense Iyamu has advised the newly elected executives on the platform of the party in the just-concluded ward and local government congress to unite the party together and meet the expectations of the party members who bestowed their trust in their leadership.
According to the party stalwart, the newly elected executives must find solutions to some of the toughest challenges facing the party and the country at large. He stressed that the APC and its national leadership were committed to providing Nigerians with a better lease of life.
Calling on the party executives to rally all party members together to achieve the noble aims of the APC, Amb Iyamu pleaded with the executives to be magnanimous in victory and make sure every party member has a stake in the party.
“Once again I extend my congratulations to the newly elected ward and local government executives of our great party the APC, I salute the emergence of every party executive across the State. It is time to rebuild our party and meet the expectations of party members and Nigerians in general. We must get back to the business of engaging voters year-round.
These new party executives must hit the ground running and find solutions to the toughest challenges facing our party and the masses out there looking up to our party for succour. Party imposition and inequality should be totally eradicated from the party structure, justice, fairness and transparency must be their watchword. The trust bestowed on these party executives should not be betrayed as the APC must strive hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians and offer the masses a new lease of life.
These leaders must stand up for what they feel is morally right. Convictions of the heart can never be bought or sold, convictions of the true value of leadership.”
Amb Johnson further pledged his support to all the party leaders across the state while he called on the general public to embrace the APC and continue to render the party valuable support.
The APC had previously held its ward congresses on July 31st and LG congresses on September 4th while it fixed October 2nd for its State congress.
