JUST IN: Jonathan Speaks On Joining APC

Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to rumours of him joining the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

The clarification became necessary after the rumour mill and the political space went agog that the former president dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Recall that this was not the first time this news of Goodluck Jonathan joining APC went viral. Some are of the opinion that Jonathan is APC’s piece for that puzzle in 2023 that will give the PDP no chance of returning back to power.

Reacting to the rumour, the former president’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze said there is no truth in the defection rumours.

He added that his principal is very busy with other activities and should he decide to defect, it will be communicated through appropriate channels, and not the rumour mill.

“The report is Fake News, if he defects it would be announced through the proper channels.

“This is a man that’s very busy with other things,” he said.
