Sikiratu Sindodo Opens Up On Illness That Nearly Claimed Her Life

Nollywood actress Tayo Odueke, popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo, has recounted a severe health crisis that reportedly left her in a coma and placed her survival chances at 50 per cent.

According to Ireporter Online, the Yoruba actress shared details of the experience during an interview with Oyinmomo TV, revealing that her health problems initially appeared to be symptoms associated with malaria and typhoid.

She said what began as an apparently ordinary illness gradually became more serious, forcing her to seek treatment at different hospitals as her condition persisted.

According to the actress, the illness lasted for several months before her condition deteriorated to the point where she lost consciousness and slipped into a coma.

Sikiratu Sindodo said doctors were uncertain about her chances of survival and reportedly gave her a 50/50 chance of making it through the ordeal.

She further revealed that her mother was at one point advised to return home because medical personnel were unsure whether she would recover.

The actress attributed her survival to divine intervention and the prayers offered by her loved ones during the difficult period.

“I was sick like someone who had malaria. Malaria/typhoid, that was it, and that was how it started gradually. From one hospital to another,” she said.

She added that she could not remember exactly how long the illness lasted but believed it continued for months before she eventually fell into a coma.
