Nollywood: Family Announces Burial Date For Late Actress Temitope Osoba

The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has announced plans to bury the actress in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

According to Ireporter Online, the family disclosed the burial arrangements in an obituary published on the actress’s Instagram page on Monday.

The announcement stated that Osoba’s remains would be moved from the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital (OSUTH), Sagamu, at 9am, ahead of the burial service scheduled to hold from 10am to 11am at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.

The family said the interment would take place immediately after the burial service at the Iperu Remo Cemetery Ground.

White has been chosen as the official dress code for the funeral.

Osoba reportedly died in August 2026 at the age of 40, with her death prompting tributes from colleagues, friends and members of the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Her burial was initially postponed indefinitely by the family following a Candlelight and Artists’ Night organised in her honour.

In a statement issued at the time, the Osoba and Awonuga families said the postponement was necessary to allow them to complete further arrangements and reach the required conclusions before announcing a new burial date.

The family has now fixed Thursday, September 10, for the final rites and interment of the late actress in her hometown of Iperu Remo
