According to Ireporter Online, a 23-year-old man identified as Emmanuel Usman has been arrested over the alleged defilement of a minor in Ondo State. The suspect was apprehended by operatives of the Ondo State Police Command in Ijebu Owo, located within the Owo Local Government Area.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Jimoh Abayomi, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Monday in Akure, noting that the suspect has since been transferred to the Gender-Based Violence Unit for further investigation. The incident reportedly occurred on March 29, 2026, when the suspect allegedly engaged in unlawful sexual activity with the victim, whose identity has been withheld for legal reasons.

Police authorities disclosed that the victim reported the case, alleging that she was forcefully taken into her assailant’s employer’s office along Ijebu Owo, where the act was carried out without her consent. The suspect was also said to have issued threats aimed at preventing the victim from speaking out about the incident.

Despite the intimidation, the matter was reported to the police, prompting a swift response that led to the suspect’s arrest.
