Abia Gov Otti Covers ₦25 Million Surgery Bill For Actress Ngozi Nwosu

The financial intervention comes after the 62-year-old actress publicly appealed for ₦30 million to cover the cost of three urgent surgeries, revealing that she could no longer bear the growing expenses associated with her medical condition.

In an emotional video shared on her Instagram page, Nwosu appealed to fans, colleagues and well-wishers for assistance, explaining that she urgently needed support to undergo the life-saving procedures.

Providing an update on Thursday, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Justice Okey Martins, popularly known as JMartins, confirmed through his X account that Governor Otti had honoured his commitment by directing the payment to the hospital before the close of business.

Martins disclosed that the funds were paid directly into the hospital’s account where the veteran actress is currently receiving treatment, describing the governor’s gesture as a demonstration of compassion and commitment to supporting one of Nollywood’s respected figures.

He also expressed appreciation to Governor Otti for fulfilling the promise and offering timely assistance to the actress during her health challenge.

The intervention has been welcomed by supporters and members of the entertainment industry, many of whom had earlier appealed for financial assistance following Ngozi Nwosu’s public request for help.
