Actor Hanks Anuku Reacts To Mental Illness Rumours

Hanks Anuku, a Nollywood actor, has debunked viral rumors about his mental health.

On Monday, videos of a man, believed to be Anuku, wandering the streets in tattered clothes went viral, sparking speculation that he was mentally ill.

While his colleague, Shan George, denied the allegations in a video posted on her Instagram page, another actress, Adanma Luke, insisted that the actor was suffering from mental illness.

Luke, in an Instagram post on Monday, urged the Nollywood community to stop the “cover up” and seek help for the actor.

In a video shared on his Instagram stories on Friday, Anuku slammed those spreading false information about his mental health.

According to him, the video that sparked the rumors was shot while he was on a film set.

In his words: “Tell those motherf***ers who wrote crap about me to stop writing crap about me, and leave me alone. If they want to act a movie or if they need help, then they can come to me.

“I’ve been on set and anyone writing, using those pictures of me on set to try and destroy my image, may the Holy Spirit forgive you.”
