‘After The Bite, The Gains Will Come’ – Kwankwaso’s Running Mate Idahosa Hails Tinubu’s Policies
Bishop Isaac Idahosa, the former vice presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), expressed his admiration for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, noting that it has implemented necessary policies that may cause temporary hardships before yielding positive results.
Idahosa, whose party secured a fourth-place position in the presidential election held on February 25, shared his perspectives on the policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

While acknowledging the increasing challenges faced by the Nigerian population, he asserted that these difficulties should not undermine the collective optimism for a brighter future. He stated, “Despite the current hardships, we need to intervene and assure people that improvement is on the horizon.”
He continued, “We continuously instill hope in their minds, assuring them that things will improve. Paradoxically, the more we advocate for hope, the tougher circumstances seem to become.”
According to the former clergyman turned politician, the realization of people’s aspirations requires a gradual and phased process. He elaborated, “Undoubtedly, the government has adopted well-founded and appropriate policies, even though these might cause initial discomfort.”
He explained, “Following this initial discomfort, there will be subsequent benefits. However, not everyone possesses the patience to witness the eventual positive outcomes.”
Idahosa’s perspective acknowledges the challenging journey that often accompanies policy changes for the greater good, emphasizing that short-term difficulties might pave the way for long-term gains.
