According to Ireporter Online, Nigeria’s comedian and actor, Bovi Ugboma, alongside South African actress, Nomzamo Mbatha, have been unveiled as co-hosts of the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

The prestigious awards ceremony is scheduled to hold on May 9, 2026, at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.

Bovi and Nomzamo will be stepping into the spotlight as successors to veteran host IK Osakioduwa, who anchored the AMVCAs for about a decade and became widely associated with the event’s glamour and energy.

Nomzamo Mbatha, who enjoys strong international recognition, brings global appeal to the hosting lineup. The actress, producer, and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador gained global attention for her role in “Coming 2 America” and currently stars in and executive produces the epic series “Shaka iLembe,” where she plays Queen Nandi.
