Beninese music legend Angélique Kidjo has announced plans to release her highly anticipated new album titled Hope, which is scheduled to arrive on April 24, 2026.

According to Ireporter Online, the forthcoming project is a 14-track body of work dedicated to her late mother, Yvonne, and will feature an impressive lineup of collaborators from across Africa and the global music scene. Among the featured artistes are Nigerian superstars Davido, Ayra Starr and the highlife duo The Cavemen, alongside internationally acclaimed performers such as Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.

The five-time Grammy Award winner revealed the announcement in a post shared on Instagram, noting that the album represents a deeply personal journey that has been five years in the making. Kidjo described her late mother as a major influence in her life, stating that she instilled in her the belief that every dream was achievable and that hope for a better future is a defining trait of humanity. Despite her passing, the singer said her mother’s message continues to resonate strongly and served as a guiding force throughout the creation of the album.
