Amid APGA Crisis, Njoku Cautions Soludo on Power Struggle

In the midst of ongoing tensions within the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra, the party’s National Chairman, Edozie Njoku, has issued a stern warning to Governor Charles Soludo. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Njoku emphasized that Soludo cannot impose his will on the party.

Njoku expressed his concerns, stating, “I have made numerous efforts to reach out to Governor Soludo, holding several meetings with him. However, it is crucial that the right thing is done at all times, and no one should think they can dominate the party.”

Ekiti State Allocates N2.7 Billion for Road Rehabilitation

In a move to enhance infrastructure, the Ekiti State Government has approved a budget of N2.7 billion for the rehabilitation of key roads within the state. The project will focus on the De-Head to Faglo, Basiri Junction Road in Ado-Ekiti.

Taiwo Olatunbosun, the Commissioner for Information, announced this development following a State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Biodun Oyebanji. The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining and improving road access across the state as part of its broader infrastructural agenda.

Lagos Nurse Arrested Over Death of Woman Following Cosmetic Surgery

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a nurse in Lekki following the tragic death of a 36-year-old woman, identified only as Abiola. According to Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported by the driver of the deceased, who revealed that Abiola died after undergoing a cosmetic procedure, specifically a Brazilian Butt Lift, at a clinic in Lekki Phase 1.

IGP Egbetokun Pledges to Rescue All Kidnapped Nigerians

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has vowed to ensure the safe return of all Nigerians currently held captive across the country. In a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumiyiwa Adejobi, Egbetokun praised the effectiveness of recent rescue operations, particularly the successful release of 20 medical students kidnapped in Benue State on August 15, 2024. He assured the public that similar efforts are being made to rescue other victims of kidnapping nationwide.
