President Tinubu Embarks on Crucial Visit to Equatorial Guinea: Key Talks on Oil, Gas, and Security Expected
President Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday for a significant three-day official visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. This visit marks an important step in strengthening the ties between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea, particularly in the areas of oil, gas, and security.
According to a statement by the presidential adviser on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu will meet with President Mbasogo at the Presidential Villa upon his arrival in Malabo. The two leaders are expected to engage in high-level discussions aimed at bolstering cooperation between their countries. Key agreements focusing on oil and gas exploration, as well as enhanced security measures, are anticipated to be signed during this visit.
President Tinubu will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, along with other key members of his cabinet. These officials will play a crucial role in the signing of agreements and exploring new opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.
