Atiku and Obi Would Face Same Challenges as Tinubu If Elected, Says PDP’s Dr. Showunmi

Dr. Segun Showunmi, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserted that if former Vice President Atiku Abubakar or former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi had ascended to the presidency, they would have encountered the same difficulties currently faced by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

During an interactive session with Seun Okinbaloye on the popular platform, Mic On The Podcast, Dr. Showunmi emphasized that while Atiku and Obi might have approached governance with different styles and strategies, the challenges they would have faced would be no less daunting. He noted that the complexities of Nigeria’s economic and political landscape are such that no single leader can resolve them without encountering significant hurdles.

Dr. Showunmi remarked, “If Atiku and Peter Obi had become President, they would have been confronting the same difficulties. They may come in with different styles and approaches, but they will still have their own tilting challenges because Nigeria was not made poor or rich overnight.”
