Basketmouth urged individuals to refrain from referring to him as a great man, asserting that such accolades often precede premature death. He cited examples of influential figures like Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Elvis Presley, Da Grin, and Mohbad, who all passed away in their prime.

Expressing his desire not to be hailed as a great man while alive, Basketmouth also touched on his recent change in appearance. He revealed that he shaved off his beard for the first time in over two decades in preparation for a role in an upcoming movie.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Yoruba Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde, also known as Wasila Coded, opened up about the challenges of single parenting. In an interview with her colleague Abiola Adebayo on a Youtube podcast, Akintunde emphasized the toll that single parenting takes on women, describing it as a situation no one hopes for. She stressed the importance of men taking responsibility when they father children, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
