Bauchi: 20-Year-Old Man Arrested For Kidnap And Murder Of Police Officer’s Son

According to a statement by SP Ahmed Wakil, the Command’s spokesman, the Police acted swiftly upon receiving a distress call about Christopher’s abduction. The suspect, identified as Rabi’u Ibrahim, was apprehended during preliminary investigations and confessed to the crime.

Ibrahim admitted to receiving a ransom of N200,000 from ASP Yarima and confessed to strangling Christopher out of fear of being recognized. He disclosed burying the victim’s body in a shallow grave at Bazale village hill.

The Bauchi State Police Command, following standard procedures, exhumed the victim’s remains. A postmortem examination conducted at the General Hospital Toro confirmed strangulation as the cause of death.

The case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, as directed by the state commissioner of police. This arrest underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to ensuring justice for victims of crime in Bauchi State.
