According to reports, the Toro Divisional Police Headquarters received a distress call regarding the theft of the truck, which was parked at the Maraban Jos trailer park in Kaduna State on April 12, 2024.

SP Ahmed Wakil, the spokesperson for the Bauchi Command, disclosed in a statement that the stolen truck, identified as a DAF CF 85 model, was en route from Umuahia in Abia State to Kano State when it was unlawfully taken in Kaduna.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the truck driver had momentarily stopped at the Maraban Jos trailer park to freshen up, only to return and find the trailer missing from its parked location.

In response to the incident, CP Auwal Muhammad, the Commissioner of Police for Bauchi State, has instructed a discreet investigation to be conducted by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to unravel the circumstances surrounding the theft.
