In a statement released to the public, the current House of Representatives member for Kaduna North Federal Constituency clarified that he does not own an apartment in Kaduna, but rather resides in his family home in Unguwar Sarki, a place he has lived in since birth. He referred to the claims as a deliberate effort to spread misinformation, tarnish his name, and create confusion.

“I am loyal to my boss and to my people. If I had such figures, my constituents would know,” El-Rufai remarked. “This attack is an effort to mislead the public and cause division, but we will continue to serve and represent Kaduna North with honesty and integrity.”

El-Rufai also condemned the spread of fake news as defamatory and an assault on the principles of justice. He vowed that his legal team would take action against media outlets responsible for the false reports, directing the funds from any legal compensation to support development in Kaduna North.
