Bobrisky Not Living In VIP Quarters In Prison, Says Nigerian Correctional Service
The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has debunked rumors suggesting that Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, is residing in a VIP apartment within the Kirikiri correctional facility. Bobrisky is currently serving a six-month prison sentence for abusing naira notes, as handed down by a Lagos court on April 12, 2024……READ ALSO Yahaya Bello Given Privileges Bobrisky Was Denied – Bwala
Contrary to social media reports, the NCoS clarified that Bobrisky is not receiving special treatment and shares a cell with other convicted inmates. The spokesperson for the Lagos State Command, Rotimi Oladokun, emphasized that the correctional facility does not have en-suite or one-bedroom flat-style cells.
Oladokun explained that the infrastructure is designed to accommodate multiple inmates and does not support the provision of exclusive amenities for any individual. Bobrisky, like other inmates, is entitled to reformative and rehabilitative platforms such as educational and vocational training.
Furthermore, Bobrisky was remanded in a male Custodial Centre and adheres to all regulations, including the dress code. He wears male-designated correctional clothing and is treated like every other inmate, without any special privileges.
The NCoS urged the public to disregard misleading publications about Bobrisky’s living conditions in prison. A source within the correctional centre confirmed that Bobrisky is treated equally to other inmates and underwent standard procedures upon admission, revealing no realignment of gender or genital organs.
