Breaking: 130 Nigerians Face US Deportation – See Full List
The United States government has announced plans to deport 130 Nigerian nationals convicted of serious criminal offenses, including advance fee fraud, illegal possession of firearms, drug-related crimes, and assault. According to Ireporter Online, the development was disclosed in a statement and accompanying document published on the official website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The document, titled “Worst of the Worst,” identifies the individuals as criminal immigrants currently facing deportation proceedings in the United States. Authorities explained that the move is part of broader enforcement actions targeting non-citizens convicted of severe crimes.
“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),” the statement said. It added that the deportation initiative is consistent with the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement agenda, aimed at removing undocumented migrants involved in criminal activities.
The DHS further noted that the operation focuses on offenders convicted of a range of crimes, from financial schemes such as advance fee fraud to violent assaults, drug trafficking, and illegal firearm possession. The deportation process will be conducted by ICE following the completion of all required legal procedures.
