BREAKING: Another Presidential Election To Be Conducted In December (DETAILS)
Egypt is set to hold its presidential election in December, as announced by the country’s National Election Authority. The polling will span three consecutive days starting from December 10, with Egyptians residing abroad able to vote over three days beginning December 1.
Candidacy registration is scheduled from October 5 to October 14, and the final list of candidates will be revealed on November 19. The official announcement of the final results is slated for December 18.

Walid Hamza, the head of the commission, assured that the election would be conducted impartially and with full judicial oversight. Encouraging Egyptian citizens to exercise their right to vote, Hamza emphasized the importance of making their voices heard, especially in the midst of the country’s economic challenges affecting its population of approximately 105 million.
Around 65 million Egyptians are eligible to participate in the election, according to reports from Egyptian media. Although incumbent President Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi has not formally declared his candidacy, it is widely anticipated that he will seek reelection.
Having held power since 2014, his current term is set to conclude next April. Following approved amendments to Egypt’s 2014 constitution, al-Sissi is eligible to run for an additional six-year term.
Several leaders from political parties aligned with al-Sissi have expressed their intention to run for president. Opposition figure Ahmed al-Tanatawi, a former lawmaker, has also declared his candidacy while alleging that security agencies have detained some of his supporters.
