BREAKING: Catholic Priest Joins Edo Governorship Race (PHOTO)
Rev. Fr. Andrew Obinyan, a Catholic priest, has announced his candidacy for the upcoming 2024 governorship election in Edo State.

The priest, who serves at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benin, stated that he decided to join the race in response to numerous calls and pressure from well-meaning Edo people and Nigerians encouraging him to contest the election.

His declaration was made public during a visit to the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State council, in Benin.
“Being a trained priest, I am well equipped to serve the good people of Edo and not be served,” he said.
