BREAKING: Hours After Lai Mohammed’s Comments On INEC Deliberately Withholding Upload Of Presidential Election Results, Buhari Sacks Mohammed

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed Prof. Mohammed Haruna, Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), to immediately hand over his position to the next most senior officer in the establishment.

Willie Bassey, Director of Information at the Office of the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, made the announcement Tuesday.

According to Bassey, this follows the reversal of the President’s extension of office from April 2, 2023 to April 2, 2025 due to the EVC having completed two five-year tenures in the organization.

“The President appreciates the contributions of Professor Haruna in the development of the engineering infrastructure sub-sector of the economy, and wishes him success in his future endeavours,” the statement added.
