BREAKING: House Speaker Resigns
Prof Joseph Albasu Kunini, Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, has resigned for personal reasons.
After reading the letter dated December 20, Deputy Speaker Alhaji Hamman Adama Abdulahi opened the floor for members to nominate a successor.

Mr Bonzana Kizito, who represents the Zing state constituency, was nominated and elected as the new Speaker.
Kunini was elected Speaker of the House on December 2, 2019, following the resignation of the previous Speaker, Mr Abel Diah, and is credited with bringing unprecedented stability to the House.
