Breaking: Katsina And Ekiti Governments Gift Properties For New Anti-Corruption Offices

This was confirmed by the chairman of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, during the ongoing National Cybercrimes Summit held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The summit is organized with support from the European Union-funded Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC II) Programme, facilitated by International IDEA.

In his welcoming address, Olukoyede emphasized that tackling cybercrime in Nigeria cannot rest solely on the EFCC. He highlighted the agency’s collaborative efforts over the past year, working alongside state governments, traditional leaders, religious organizations, youth groups, and civil society to address this pressing issue.

“I want to express my gratitude to everyone here for this impressive turnout at the summit. I particularly want to thank the governor of Katsina State, Umaru Dikko Radda, for providing us with a property for our office. As someone from Ekiti, I also requested an office there, and the governor kindly granted us a property to use. We are grateful for their support,” Olukoyede stated.

Notable attendees at the event included Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu; Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya; Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal; and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alh. Sa’ad Abubakar, among other dignitaries.
