Breaking: Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Falls To 15.1% In Latest Report
Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased marginally to 15.10 per cent in January 2026, compared to 15.15 per cent recorded in December 2025, reflecting a slight moderation in price pressures at the beginning of the year.
According to a report by Ireporter Online, the latest figures are contained in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics. The report indicated that the 0.05 percentage point decline signals a continued slowdown in inflation after several months of gradual easing.
On a year-on-year basis, inflation recorded a significant drop when compared to the corresponding period in 2025. The January 2026 rate of 15.10 per cent represents a 12.51 percentage point decrease from the 27.61 per cent posted in January 2025.
Further details are expected to emerge as more data becomes available.
