BREAKING: Tinubu Meets With Oba of Benin In Aso Rock (PHOTOS)

On Friday, President Bola Tinubu welcomed His Royal Majesty Omon’Oba N’Edo Uku’Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, to the State House for a meeting.

The purpose of the visit has not been explicitly stated, but it is speculated that it may involve formal congratulations to the president on assuming office and discussions on matters concerning the Nigerian people.

It should be noted that in May, the Federal Government appointed Oba Ewuare II as the Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria. During a courtesy visit by the university’s management to the Oba in Benin City, Edo State, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Olufemi Peters, expressed confidence that the university’s prospects would improve under the Oba’s leadership.

In response, the Oba expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari, referring to him as the Commander-in-Chief, for bestowing upon him the appointment as Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria.

The Oba also expressed his intention to utilize his experience in effectively guiding the affairs of the institution.
