During his visit, Wike dismissed bureaucratic delays, telling FCDA officials, “All this grammar, grammar, grammar, I don’t want to hear it.” He ordered them to immediately allocate land to affected persons, warning against further excuses.

This comes as 455 structures were demolished in the village to make way for a road project, with victims alleging they were being relocated to swampy areas instead of approved lands.

Wike’s firm stance continues to stir political debates, especially amid growing tensions in Rivers State, where he remains a key figure despite no longer being governor.
