Briggs accused Tinubu of imposing on Rivers people what he personally resisted as governor of Lagos State under President Olusegun Obasanjo. She argued that Tinubu is treating the crisis between Fubara and Nyesom Wike as if there were “two governors” in the state, undermining the elected leadership.

She also pointed out that the 27 lawmakers who defected from the PDP to the APC had already aligned against Fubara, further complicating the crisis.
